MUSICIANS
***REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!
Thank you to all the musicians who have offered to donate their time and artistry to our inaugural Day of Music Fullerton. Those who are confirmed with venue performances, please coordinate with your designated venues this weekend. For those who are registered and do not yet have confirmed performances, please be patient for the next few days for possible venue matches. If by June 8th you have not been contacted for a confirmed performance or if you missed the June 1st registration deadline, please check back with us in 2016. Stay tuned for our final lineup to be posted soon!
Musicians, you are the most integral part of the Day of Music Fullerton 2015. Just scroll down and click on the Register button to link up to the One Solstice matchmaking page customized for Day of Music Fullerton. Fill out all your pertinent information and as the event gets closer, you will be scheduled with the best venue available.
With the assistance of Make Music Alliance and Solstice, we have in place a reservation/match-making service. Through the reservation dashboard system we will offer venues and artists the ability to interact in matching venue to artist and vice versa in real time. This service will also offer the ability to search venues and artists participating to get more info on the participants and schedule of events.

Will musicians be paid to perform?
Day of Music Fullerton is part of the international Fête de la Musique. Occuring annually on the Summer Solstice, June 21, Day of Music Fullerton is a free event to attend and participate in and is open to all ages, genres, styles, and abilities. During this daylong celebration, the city comes alive with music. Performances take place on city sidewalks, in parks, patios, and even on back porchs.
As part of this international celebration, Day of Music Fullerton agrees to offer all performances for free to the public. As is the case with other cities around the world, our contribution is setting up the framework for performances by securing the permits, coordinating the concerts, and publicizing the event city-wide with media stories, concert listings with our media partners, an interactive website, and a volunteer street-team.
Participation at any level, as a musician, host, or spectator is voluntary. This allows musicians of all skill levels the opportunity to come out and perform in public if they wish. While most performers volunteer their time and talents, both venues and musicians are welcome to seek outside sponsorship and support if they so choose. Musicians and/or venues will provide busking buckets, and spectators may be encouraged to make voluntary donations. It will be up to artists and/or venues to decide how to use any such donations.
Currently, this sign-up feature does not have phone compatibility. Click the button to register from your tablet or computer.
- Please read and agree to the terms and conditions – these are important!
- Then, simply complete your profile using your Artist(s) name.
- You will be asked to provide: a website, Facebook and Twitter links, your availability, electrical needs, a short description (140 characters or less), genres (up to 3), contact information, and photo.
That was a lot of information. Let’s take a second.
-Once you’ve completed your profile, click “Find a Match” at the top of the screen to search for available host Venues by specific neighborhood, time available, genre etc.
-When you find your perfect match, select “Request a Performance” to send a message to the Venue asking for their approval. Once that is done, a Make Music Chicago Admin will review and confirm the match!
If you’re having trouble finding a match, don’t worry! We’re just getting started, so keep checking back in for more Venues and Artists to match with. Day of Music Fullerton will oversee all of the Artist and Venue profiles to be sure everyone finds a place to participate!
