Roadkill Ranch/Mike Atta Space Time Continuum

In memory of the late Mike Atta, we’ve dedicated the space behind Roadkill Ranch and Out of Vogue to him. Mike was an integral part of pioneering Orange County’s early punk scene with his band The Middle Class. As a long time business owner and operator of Out of Vogue (a Mid-Century Modern department store), he was a dear friend to the community.

After losing his battle with cancer, Mike passed away in April of 2014. In honor of his musical contributions, the space where bands will play on Day of Music will be called “Mike Atta Space Time Continuum”. Survived by his wife Pam, she describes it as this, “It’s a radical place where, henceforth, space by itself and time by itself are doomed to fade away into mere shadows, and only a kind of union of the two will preserve an independent reality- where music exists.”

The genre of the day starts off with an easy Indie vibe then graduates into Rockabilly, and Rock and Roll. The celebration will end with The Subtitles. (Because a little bit of Punk is what Mike what have wanted.)
