Interested in Participating?

Thank you for inquiring about the Day of Music–Fullerton June 21st 2015. Much has happened since our presentation last August at the Fullerton Public Library that I want to bring everyone up to speed on our progress.

These last four months have seen us go from a simple conversation at the Thursday market to now an incorporated non-profit with a board of directors. We are still in the formative stages of setting up the organization, but soon we will be going out and promoting the festival en masse. We need your support in this endeavor. Music has a 100% audience (I don’t know anyone who hates music), so it is imperative we get out the message to as many residents of Fullerton as possible. Tell your friends. Tell your family. If you haven’t already, please go to http://thedayofmusic.com and sign up based on what you would like to contribute to the day.

With the assistance of MakeMusic Consortium-NYC and Solstice-Austin, we are progressing with our reservation service that will be online by January. One can still sign up as a venue or artist or volunteer, but with the reservation dashboard system we will offer venues and artists the ability to interact in matching venue to artist and vice versa in real time. This service will also offer the ability to search venues and artists participating to get more info on the participants and schedule of events. There will also be an app for smartphones! If you are curious, you can watch a YouTube video explaining how this works at http://onesolstice.com/tech

On October 31st our offices will open at the Magoski Arts Colony (225 W. Santa Fe Avenue). We will have the doors open from 4-630pm for anyone who wishes to drop in and get information regarding the Day of Music 2015. Yes, this is on Halloween.
We will also be participating in the monthly ArtWalk, at the Colony, on the first Friday of each month starting November 7th.

To date we have commitments or interest from The Muck, The Fox Theatre, Fullerton Museum Plaza, Fullerton Public Library, the Plummer Auditorium, the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce, Fullerton Community Band, Burger Records, Night Owl, RoadKill, Mo’s Music, the Egan, Neighborhood and Hibbelton galleries of the Magoski Arts Colony, Emp studios, and many musical artists. We haven’t even scratched the surface and have received many inquiries regarding our event. A wonderful street band from Portland, Oregon (All The Apparatus) even emailed us the other day stating they would be happy to drive down to Fullerton and perform (if we could feed and house them!) The event is growing each day and we haven’t even officially opened for business. This is a wonderful sign of community spirit and a desire to celebrate, city-wide, with live music.

The First day of summer next year is going to be a day to remember.

Feel free to email us at [email protected] with any questions, suggestions or concerns regarding Day of Music.
We want to hear from you. For this is your event… we are just here to make it happen.
